When you wear your Pulse8 during sports, such as jogging etc, it can easily become detached from the body strap. If you want to avoid loosing the Pulse8, then simply follow the steps below in looping the string of the neck strap through the body strap:
|
Step 1. Ensure that the attachment of the neck strap has been correctly done.
Step 2. Separate the purple strap from the main black string.
Step 3. Feed the black strip through the body strap to be used.
Step 4. Wear the body strap accordingly and secure the Pulse8 to the body strap. |
|
It is recommended however that you use the Pulse8 more so after playing sports and physical activity.
It has come to our attention, that some of the distributors/clients have had the hook on the Pulse8 breaking of. This only happens when some force is extended to the Pulse8 device, such as when it is caught and then pulled etc.
This is not a design fault. The Pulse housing has been designed in accordance with the international CE standard, which also applies to the US . In accordance with this standard, any device which is carried around the neck must have an overload breakage limit. This rule minimises the risk of someone being strangled, when the Pulse might be caught by a moving object. As an example you might consider that the Pulse is caught in a car door, which has been closed and the car is moving again.
We cannot ignore that safety rule particular for any market and therefore the pin cannot be made stronger. It is also pointless to cover the breakage of the pin under warranty, since in case of lack of care, all pins will break eventually.
To address this problem we have designed an alternative attachment for the cases where the Pin has broken. We will provide a small Velcro patch. If the Holding Pin breaks, then the neck - string gets attached to the Velcro patch and the Pulse is in turn attached to the Velcro patch. It then can be worn around the neck as before. The holding strength is the same as if the Pulse is attached to a body strap.
Repair Instructions
Take a 38mm wide Velcro loop strap, cut a patch of some 38mm length, which gives you a 38mm square patch. Use an office punch to punch a hole into this. (As shown in the right image.)
You now loop your neck-strap trough this hole - voila - you have an emergency attachment for your Pulse8.
(Commencing from May 15th, we will be supplying the patches with the hole punched in them with all future Pulse8's to be issued. These patches will also be made available to our fulfillment centers worldwide for issue to people locally requiring the patch.)
The images below show how to use the patch in securing the Pulse8 with the purple neck strap.
