Different civilizations over many centuries have
used ionized mineral water to restore health and well-being without knowing
about the scientific processes. Regular bathing or soaking in hot mineral
springs or spas was recommended by health physicians to optimize good health.
Several locations around the world provide areas or
“pools” of naturally occurring ionized water including the Roman baths at Bath
in the United Kingdom or the ancient spas in Belgium and Baden Baden (Germany).
Physicians of the Roman Empire recognized Sanus Per Aqua = Health by water,
Solus Per Aqua = Enter by means of water.
These Roman inscriptions in the ancient Bath
chambers of Spa (Belgium) show that Roman physicians already knew that minerals
can enter the body via suitable water and thereby can restore energy and health.
The Chinese and Japanese cultures have also used mineralized water and steam
baths to maintain energy and prevent illness.
Another more common example of using ionized water
is bathing in the sea. Regular bathing in very salty water has also been
acclaimed over the years to restore health, vitality and energy levels.
While the health benefi ts of using ionized water
have been acclaimed for centuries, it is only recently that health practitioners
and scientists have studied and understood the positive effects of ionized
water. As a result of this research, MEDEC engineers have reproduced Mother
Nature’s spa for everyday home use in the form of the MEDEC DETOX.
A German scientist, Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg, was the
first to recognize the negative effects of toxins to the health of an organism.
He developed a theory of homotoxicology (Footnote 1) that suggested disease is
ultimately caused by a surplus of toxins.
Every day, we absorb substances from food that we
eat, the air we breathe and the water we drink. Further toxins are created by
the metabolic process within the body itself = homotoxins. A well functioning
body has a number of different mechanisms for fi ltering and eliminating toxins
from the body including sweating, urinating, excreting and breathing.
Toxins, which are not removed, are stored in the
interconnectivity tissue which acts as a form of waste dump in the body. Once
toxins build up to far, they penetrate into body cells and accumulate in the
tissue of the extremities and fi nally even in various organs such as kidneys,
liver and intestines. If the body is unable to fully eliminate these toxins,
Reckeweg suggested that the health of the organism is disturbed and the early
stages of disease are seen.
The homotoxicology theory states six distinct phases
of disease due to an increasing overload of different toxins.
- Excretion Phase
The body’s immune system is intact and
resorts to alternative methods of excreting the overload of toxins such as
diarrhea or a runny nose.
- Inflammation Phase
If the excretion phase does not
remove the overload of toxins, the body resorts to an infl ammatory response in
an attempt to neutralize the toxins.
- Deposition Phase
If the toxins cannot or have not been
fully excreted and new toxins continue to enter the body, the toxins are stored
in the fl uid between cells (intracellular space).
- Impregnation Phase
The toxins from the intracellular
space invade and enter the cell. This phase often results in severe health
symptoms and some damage to different organs.
- Degeneration Phase
The high concentration of toxins
within the cells destroys large groups of cells resulting in organ degeneration.
- Differentiation Phase
Illnesses during this phase are
characterized by the creation of non specialized cell forms.
One of the primary functions of individual cells is
to generate energy during a chemical process called metabolism. This process
relies on oxygen and nutrients entering the cell and waste products being
excreted from the cell.
A build-up of toxins however can affect the
metabolism and overall health of a cell in two ways.
Firstly, large amounts of toxins on the outside of
cells (in the intracellular space) can prevent oxygen and various nutrients from
entering the cell and
reduce the capacity of the cell to generate new
energy.
Secondly, if the toxins created within the cell
during the energy-making process are not excreted, the cell itself will become
poisoned and perhaps die.
Therefore, when a large number of cells are affected
by toxins, it is likely that symptoms of low energy, tiredness and general
ill-health will be experienced.
In contrast, removal of these toxins increases the
effi ciency of the cells transfer of oxygen, nutrients and waste products,
resulting in a higher metabolism and renewed energy.
Person tested: female, 60 years old
year: 2005
Prior to the Detox application, a characteristic metabolic disorder was
evident (left image: Analysis using the Medec Biograph)
The energy level was
also far below the norm (right image)
After only 12 Medec Detox 2400 applications a different
result is showing. Certain systems within the body are already within the norm,
i.e. are healthy. The energy level is according to the norm, which indicates a
healthy organism.
